LPA District 2 will be holding it's Spring 2012 Regional at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott - Corapolis, Pa. on March 23rd through the 25th. Our Western Pa. chapter will be hosting this event, with their chapter President Alison Valli at the helm.
The Marriott's LPA room rate is $95.00 / night and is available until March 1st 2012

NOTE: Your LPA membership must be in good standing & you must fill out a registration form and proper payment in order to attend this regional. Any person that does not fulfill these requirements will be charged the full room rate from the hotel.
If you or your family are not members of LPA and are looking at joining, feel free to fill out the registration form, and just submit a membership form / payment when you mail in your packet. Or you can fill out the registration form with your membership form at the day of the regional.

2012 LPA PA DUTCH CHAPTER GOLF TOURNAMENT - MYERSTOWN, PA. |

Myerstown, Pa.
District 2's Pa Dutch Chapter will be holding it's 18th Annual Golf Tournament Outing on May 20th at the Lebanon Valley Golf Club in Myerstown, Pa.
Format is a 4 person Scramble.
There will be 2 shotgun starts. One at 7 AM and the second at 1 PM
Steak Dinner and Prizes will follow each shotgun.
Cost is $70 per person, and includes Golf, Cart, Beverages, Steak Dinner and Prizes

UNDERSTANDING DWARFISM.ORG WEBSITE |
District 2 is proud to announce the creation of one of the most groundbreaking, informative websites developed to inform the general public on what Dwarfism is and who's goal is dispell all myths and to educate on what is acceptable to us.
Jimmy Korpai, an artist by trade, chapter president to our district, and parent and husband to his family has a single goal: How can he make the world a better place for his LP daugher, Hailey.
Jimmy's goal is to educate as many people as he can, and felt the internet would reach the widest audience.
He started the website last year, and has been adding content to it reguarly. On it you will find facts to most every question you can have about Dwarfism. Commentary from members about their lives as dwarfs. He just recently added a section with member commentary on their education / current employment information, as to let youth of our district know that being a dwarf should not limit your goals or dreams.
Our district fully supports Jimmy in this endeavor.
We urge you to visit the website. Please feel free to contact Jimmy and offer your comments. He might ask for contributions from time to time, which we encourage you to do.

2012 LPA NATIONAL CONFERENCE - DALLAS, TEXAS |

LPA will be holding it's 2012 National Conference next year in the hear of our country, Dallas Texas, at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel on June 29th through July the 6th. District 8 will be the hosting district for this year's event, with Brian Templeton organizing it
Room rates will be $114/night with $10/day for on site parking.
The 1,840 room Sheraton in 2009 had a $90 million renovation.
The hotel is connected to a Plaza of the America, an indoor, air conditioned facility which contains boutiques, shops, many dining options to choose from, as well as an indoor ice skating rink!
Outings which are being looked at are:
- Dallas Cowboys Stadium
- Six Flags Amusement / Water Park
- A visit to "Southfork" Ranch
- Outing to "Billy Bob's Honky Tonk
UPDATE: January 17, 2012 LPA Pre-Registration / Hotel Reservation is now open for the 2012 National Conference! As in year's past, you must pre register for the conference through LPA before you can make your hotel reservation. The pre-registration fee is $75, and you will then be provided with a conformation code. This code you must provide to the hotel reservation desk in order to get the LPA room rate. You can pre-register online with a credit card or print out the form any pay by check

To pre-register online, go to the website: http://www.regonline.com/lpanationalconference2012dallasregform & fill out the form. You will need a credit card to make the $75 payment. Once the registration process is complete, you will receive an email with the code and link to the hotel which will allow you to place your room reservation.

To register by check, first download the form (click on the link to download it). Fill out the form, and mail it along with your check. Once the LPA office receives your form, they will email you the conformation code and link to the hotel which will allow you to place your room reservation.
